If you're looking to keep your Wii Remote looking pretty for a long time, the Wii Remote Film from HORI is a great choice. It is a thin, 3 layer film that will prevent the top of your remote from scratches and discolouration caused by UV.
This is one of the few 3rd party products for the Wii officially licensed by Nintendo currently.
